Zergüzeşt is a post-rock, prog-rock and noise-driven act born from grief, revolt and reflection. The project explores the loss of empathy and the sound of a world in mourning, blending cinematic textures with raw distortion, protest recordings and philosophical undertones. Inspired by the expansive storytelling of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, the emotional depth of Sigur Rós, the compositional intensity of Tigran Hamasyan and the haunting modernism of Bruit ≤, Zergüzeşt builds soundscapes that shift between serenity and collapse.
The name merges the Ottoman word for a profound tale with the spirit of Zarathustra, forming a philosophy as much as a sound: a call to feel, to confront, to question, to remember and to act.
Through noise, ambience, field recordings and fragments of real voices, Zergüzeşt transforms mourning into resistance and sound into a form of truth.
